The Edge is a short story written by Agatha Christie. The story is about Claire Halliwell, a young girl lives a quiet country life with her dogs. Her childhood friend, now Sir Gerald, married a young woman, Vivien, and no one in the village had ever heard of her. Clare sees her roaring off down the lane in her sports car, ostensibly to visit her sick mother. The same morning Clare’s favourite hound is run over and she takes him to a special vet one town over. There she sees a distinctive handwriting in the hotel ledger and she works out Vivien is having an affair. Now, she has the upper hand. And she uses it… but at what cost?
